Wait Date Night
#12
Right now we’re all waiting for something. The election, a vaccine, some sense of normalcy, news from a sick loved one…
Waiting for something is hard, because we don’t know when it’s going to come.
I’d like to invite you to begin to wait for nothing instead. Which is something I do every week.
I guess I’m not technically waiting for nothing. I’m waiting for the deep communion, I’m waiting for uncertainty, I’m waiting for myself.
Once a week I get dressed up like I’m going on a date. I buy flowers and go to a place I might take a date and wait.
I sit or stand there alone to create space.
Space for myself, for whoever may join me next, for the divine feminine to teach me
It’s a ritual that each week I empower, discover, and learn from.
Maybe I am waiting for someone who just hasn’t arrived yet, maybe I’m waiting for no one at all.
This week I put on a suit, had dinner at Momofuko and waited by the Bellagio fountain for an hour, which I have to say is one of the more entertaining places I’ve waited.
While I stood there I overheard two people about 10 mins apart:
One person said:
WELL SOMEONE IS WAITING FOR…
